Friends on the Outside HELP
Finding a match on PrisonerMatch.com is fast and easy! Just follow these simple steps:
- First, complete the short form to tell us a little bit about yourself. Don’t feel nervous about putting down your address information. We keep it on file in case there’s ever a problem and we never give out any personal information. Inmates also don’t have access to the information you fill out on the page. Make sure you fill out the form completely.
- Next, scroll down to the Personality Profile section and read the statements located on the left side of the page.
- Select an answer from one of the four columns to the right of the statement that best describes your feelings and record your answer by clicking inside the appropriate circle.
- Once you have completed the form, click SUBMIT.
- Next, click ‘Add as Match’ on those inmates you would like to write to. All of the inmates listed have similar personalities as you within a certain range.
- You will receive an email from us immediately with the name and address of your match(es). For each inmate you select, you will receive one email from us so don’t be alarmed if you have a few emails from us! It will most likely be the only time you receive an email from us.
- Make sure you save your inmate’s mailing information and try writing to them as soon as possible! Remember, YOU are the one who makes the first contact so make sure to say to your new friend that you were matched by Friends on the Outside / prisonermatch.com.
